best-Action-movies to watch in New Zealand

Ever since the days of The Great Train Robbery more than a century ago, action has been a key element of the film. But, somewhere along the line, filmmakers realized that their car chases, combat scenes, gunfights, and explosions didn’t have to be confined inside the limits of another genre.

The action didn’t have to be a part of a Western, a gallant historical adventure, or a sci-fi blockbuster; it might be the purpose itself.  Allow Empire to take you on a journey through 35 of the best action movies. When it comes to the best platform to stream action movies, check out HBO Max in New Zealand.

We cover from the quiet masterpieces of the 1970s to the one-man-army cliche of the 1980s, mismatched-buddy duos of the 1990s, and universe-saving superheroes of today. Also, check out the best movies of all time.

Marvel’s most ambitious film ever pitted everyone’s favorite super-teams against one another – and sent a couple of them home to fix their suits. The concept of pitting 673 (or nearly) superheroes against one other was a heady one.

However, the Russo brothers pulled it off well, introducing a much-adored infant Spidey in the process. Are you concerned about superhero fatigue? By the time you reach the film’s epic airport combat, your concerns have vanished altogether. If you like comic book stories, you will like them.

There will always be action flicks as long as there are movies. Why? Because no child grows up imagining themselves as a damsel in distress or a sidekick. They’re all itching to punch, draw swords, and flee the danger. They are the future directors, choreographers, and actors who will bring these fantasies to reality.

Let’s hope there will be more John Wicks, Raids, and Atomic Blondes in the future. We compiled this list not to declare what was “great,” but to serve as a guide for budding cinephiles who may be feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin their adventure.

It wasn’t intended to be read in any particular sequence, and the reader was encouraged to delve down new rabbit holes in search of more esoteric titles. Until then, these are the 35 best action movies of all time created, in no particular order.
