Paris Hilton, Cher & More Stars Cheer After Britney Spears’ Dad Jamie Agrees To Quit Conservatorship

Finally, Britney Spears can take a huge sigh of life as her father has decided to quit conservatorship. This is such a great news for Britney and her fans who were supporting her stance for the last 13 years.

Apart from devoted fans, stars are also celebrating the news. Paris Hilton, a famous Hollywood actress, has shared her excitement over Twitter. She tweeted:

Besides Hilton, other popular celebrities including Cher and Whitney Cummings have also reacted on Twitter.

Jamie Spears has filed the court documents

Jamie Spears has filed the court documents to start a smooth transition to a new conservator. However, he has denied Britney’s conservatorship abuse claim. According to Spears’s lawyer,

There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate .. and it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests.

He also added,

Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests.

That said, the good thing that goes in favor of Britney is, he will cooperate with the court and Britney’s new attorney as and when needed.

Britney Spears’s lawyer has also responded on the matter

As per Mathew Rosengart, Britney’s lawyer,

We are pleased but not necessarily surprised that Mr. Spears and his lawyer finally recognize that he must be removed. We are disappointed, however, by their ongoing shameful and reprehensible attacks on Ms. Spears and others.

Britney Spears’s father, Jamie, has made the right decision eventually. This act will bring positive change and happiness to Britney’s life as she deals with depression and other issues due to this controversial conservatorship battle.

Now, she can make decisions about her life on her own without any external pressure.
